Our listings, resources, events and posts are intended for any child, young adult or adult who has a developmental disability, as well as their families and caregivers.
We consider development disabilities to include any condition that creates a physical, learning, language or behavioral impairment. This includes but is not limited to these common disabilities: ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Epilepsy, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Hearing Loss, Intellectual Disabilities, Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida, Tourette Syndrome. We will do our best to ensure our content is geared to include resources and opportunities that cater to all of these disabilities and more.
We wanted to make it easier for people with developmental disabilities and their families to find the resources, support, opportunities and therapies they need. We know how much it takes to raise and support people with disabilities, we wanted to give you one place to go to quickly and easily find the things you need ... and let's face it ... we are blessed to live in a time and place where there are LOTS of things out there for them.
Our name is a reminder of our mission: to Bring Resources for Inclusion, Development, Growth and Empowerment. Clever, right? Every listing and event on our site and social media is intended to enhance the life of someone with a disability anywhere in the Heartland. We pride ourselves on setting and holding to that standard every day and in everything we do for our community.
We had to start somewhere, so we started here in our hometown of Omaha. There are hundreds of resources out there for people outside the Omaha Metro Area. We are the HEARTLAND Bridge after all, so we will connect resources to folks in those places in the near future.

We scour the Internet and social media on a daily basis to ensure you have access to the latest resources and opportunities we can curate on your behalf. We also rely heavily on the moderators of our listings to keep their content fresh, relevant and helpful.
Never. There's plenty of websites, directories and social media outlets selling your email addresses and such for their own benefit. We don't like it when they do that to us, so we won't do it to you.
