Description
PROJECT LIFESAVER uses a battery-operated transmitter band that a child or adult wears on the wrist or ankle that emits individualized radio frequencies. Should the enrolled individual go missing, the caregiver notifies 911, and law enforcement responds with a team of Electronic Search Specialists. With the help of a grant from the Jullia Rose Foundation in 2018, Autism Action Partnership partnered with the Omaha Police Department to begin enrolling individuals with autism who live within the Omaha city limits.
