Angela Lewman is the Founder, Owner and Executive Director of High Hopes.
Angela's passion for supporting individuals with special needs began long before High Hopes was established. Growing up with a stepsister with special needs, she developed an early understanding of the importance of inclusion, acceptance and meaningful opportunities for individuals of all abilities. Her involvement with the special needs community continued through experiences with Polk County Special Education School, including participating in field trips in the early 1990s.
As a mother of three, including her son Joshua, Angela understands firsthand the challenges families can face when seeking quality, inclusive care and dependable support for their children.
In January 2022, Angela opened High Hopes Child Care with a vision of creating an environment where children of all abilities could learn, grow and thrive together. In July 2025, she expanded that mission with the launch of High Hopes at Home, providing in-home services to children and families.
Angela also serves as the Founder and Executive Director of High Hopes Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping remove financial barriers to inclusive child care and supportive services.
Before dedicating herself to High Hopes, Angela spent more than 25 years in the financial services industry, bringing extensive leadership, business management and operational experience to her work.
Angela believes that while education, training and experience are important, the most essential qualification for working with children and families is a genuine willingness to serve others, something that simply cannot be taught.
